Smart Factory Adoption & Expansion Support Program

Program Overview

This program supports domestic SMEs and mid-sized manufacturers in implementing smart factory solutions and connected automation equipment, controllers, and sensors suited to their shop floor — boosting their manufacturing innovation and competitiveness. It funds the implementation of smart factory solutions built on advanced technologies like IoT, 5G, big data, AI, and cloud, along with the automation equipment needed to build them, for improving product design and production processes.

Key Support Details

Eligibility: Domestic SMEs and mid-sized manufacturers

Scope: Implementation of smart factory solutions (MES, ERP, etc.) and connected automation equipment, controllers, sensors, and more

Funding:Government support covers up to 50% of the cost of implementing the solution and connected equipment

※ Government funding of up to KRW 200 million, with tiered support based on new implementation vs. advancement stage

Manufacturing-Specific AX Support Program

Program Overview

This program adopts industry- and process-specific AI on the shop floor to deliver intelligence-driven results and lay the groundwork for autonomous manufacturing.

By embedding AI into manufacturing processes, it dramatically boosts productivity and drives forward flagship AI autonomous-manufacturing projects that tackle pressing challenges — a shrinking workforce, carbon reduction, and more.

Key Support Details

Delivering quality prediction, predictive maintenance, and process optimization through AI modeling based on manufacturing data

Building an AI factory (intelligent systems such as AI agents and on-device AI) and securing data infrastructure

Must achieve at least the "Intermediate 1" smart manufacturing level upon completion
